Roulette
The Game
The Roulette game at Jamaica Bay Casino is based on American Double Zero roulette and follows standard "Las Vegas Strip" rules. An ivory ball circles in the rotating roulette wheel that consists of 36 numbers plus 0 and 00. Eventually, the ball stops randomly on one of the 38 random numbers.
Each player wagers against the bank, independently from other game participants. Your winnings will be based on the type of bets placed and the ball?s final resting-place.
The multi-player roulette game at Jamaica Bay Casino has these features:
-
Up to 4 players can join the same game and chat with each other.
- You can select a private table to play alone, or select the players you'd like to join.
- You can select a table with the desired bet limits: $1-100, $5-500 or $25-1,000.
- You can select the maximum betting time (30, 45, or 90 seconds) when you open a new table.
- You can observe a game without joining.
How It Works
Once you have entered the online casino, you can easily check the guest book to see if any of your friends are currently in the casino and the games in which they are currently participating by clicking on "Information/Info." You can then go back to the game menu to select your game. When you enter a game room, some tables will be occupied while others will be free. If a table is marked "private," you must ask permission to enter. The player that initially opens the table has the authority to grant permission or deny access to new players.
If you find all the tables occupied, simply click on the arrow in the upper right corner to move to the next game room. In the upper left corner, you will find the VIP arrow that leads to exciting, new features for loyal Jamaica Bay Casino members.
How To Play
Start by pressing the JOIN button within the game. Next, use your left mouse button to click on the value of the chip that you wish to wager. Then place the chip on the roulette table by clicking on the desired betting area. You can regret a wagered chip before the game begins by clicking on the wagered chip with your right mouse button. When you have placed your bets, press the DONE button to activate the roulette wheel.
Betting
There are 9 different types of roulette bets. Each bet covers a different set of numbers and has a different distribution, as shown in the "Winnings Table" section.
Inside Bets:
Straight Up
A chip can be wagered on any individual number, including zero (0) and double-zero (00). The chip is placed directly on the individual number.
Split Bet
A chip can be wagered on any two adjacent numbers, by placing the chip on the line dividing the two numbers. Note that a chip can also be placed on the line dividing zero (0) and double-zero (00), 0 and 1, 2 and 0, 00 and 2, or 00 and 3.
Street Bet
Street bets cover three numbers. Place the chip on the outer right boundary line of the roulette table, next to the corresponding row of three numbers. Note that street bets can also be placed on 0,1, and 2; 0,00,and 2; and 00, 2, and 3.
Corner Bet
Corner bets cover four numbers. Place the chip on the cross where the four numbers intersect.
Five Bet
A five bet covers the following numbers: 0, 00, 1, 2, and 3. Place the chip on the outer right boundary line of the roulette table, between 0 and 1.
Line Bet
A line bet covers two street bets (i.e. the six different numbers in two rows of three numbers. For example: 4,5,6 + 7,8,9). Place the chip on the closest boundary line of the roulette table, where it is intersected by the line dividing the two rows.
Outside Bets:
Column Bet
On the short side of the roulette table are three boxes marked "2 to 1." By placing your chip in one of these boxes, you mark all twelve numbers above it (excluding 0 and 00).
Dozen Bet
You can bet on a group of twelve numbers by placing your chip in one of the three boxes marked "1st 12," "2nd 12," or "3rd 12."
Red/Black, Even/Odd, Low/High Bets
A bet placed in one of the boxes on the left, long side of the table covers half of the roulette table numbers (excluding zero and double zero). Each box covers 18 numbers.
