The Game

Jamaica Bay Casino is proud to be the first and only online casino to bring you Omega Video Poker, a classic video poker game with a thrilling twist.

Omega Video Poker is the Grandaddy of all video poker machines, and is considered by poker enthusiasts to be the most player-friendly game available anywhere.

Each time you are dealt a winning hand in Omega, you can either take your money and run or risk going double or nothing. All you have to do to win double your winnings is guess the value range of an unknown card!

You can choose to play with coin values of $0.25, $0.50, $1, and $5. Your total wager determines the amount of your payout.

Enjoy the multi-player excitement at Jamaica Bay Casino, where you can chat with other players and watch them play, too!

How It Works

Once you are in the lobby of the online casino, you can easily check to see if any of your friends are in the casino and what games they are currently participating in by clicking on "Information/Info" to view the guest book. You can then go back to the game menu to select your game.

In the game room, some Omega video poker machines will be occupied while others will be free. If you find all the machines occupied, simply click on the arrow in the upper right corner to move to the next game room.

How To Play

The object of Omega video poker is to obtain a five-card poker hand that contains at least one pair of Jacks or higher. The better your hand, the higher your payoff.

In the game room, you will find various groups of Omega video poker machines. You can choose to play at any vacant machine by first clicking on a group.

If at least one machine in a group is occupied, the denomination of the four machines in that group ($0.25, $0.50, $1, or $5) will be displayed at the top of the group and in the "Table Info" box to the right. If you choose to play in a group where all four machines are unoccupied, you will be asked to select the denomination of the four machines in the entire group.

Once you have selected a group of machines, press the PLAY button to activate your individual Omega video poker machine. Insert your money into the machine by first clicking on the 25-cent coin, 1-dollar coin, 5-dollar bill, or 20-dollar bill in the lower left corner and then clicking on the machine's coin or bill slot.

Next, choose the total amount that you wish to wager in the round by clicking on the PLAY CREDIT button. Click the button once to wager the machine's denomination once, twice to wager two times the machine's denomination, and so on. You can wager up to $25 on a single round. The higher your bet, the higher your payout if you win.

Click the DEAL/DRAW button to display your first five cards. You may discard any card that you do not wish to keep by clicking its corresponding DISCARD button, or on the card itself. If you discard a card by mistake, simply click the CANCEL button before clicking the DEAL/DRAW button and all five cards will be restored. If you only want to restore one of the cards, re-press the discard button for the card you wish to restore. Click the DEAL/DRAW button to be dealt new cards to replace the cards you discarded.

When you have a winning hand, you can choose either to collect your winnings by pressing the TAKE button or to try to double your winnings by pressing the DOUBLE button. To DOUBLE your original winnings, you must correctly guess if the next card is SMALL (with a value in the 2-7 range) or BIG (with a value in the 9-Ace range). If the value of the card turns out to be 8 (the house card) or if you choose the incorrect range, you automatically forfeit your winnings. If you choose the correct range, you will be awarded double your original winnings.

When you are ready to play a new hand, you can wager the same amount as in the previous hand and immediately begin the deal by clicking the RE-BET button. If you wish to wager a different amount in the new hand, click the PLAY CREDIT button the desired number of times.

Whenever you like, you may cash out to receive your credits in the machine by pressing the CASH OUT button. Your money will be returned to your credit balance.

To exit the Omega video poker room and return to the main menu, you must play out the hand you have been dealt and cash out. Then, click on the EXIT button to the bottom right corner.
